About these terms

These terms apply to services provided by FirstRing LLC ("FirstRing", "we", "us") of Hackettstown, New Jersey — websites, an AI phone receptionist, and related text messaging — and to firstringsites.com. By calling a business that uses FirstRing, or by agreeing to receive our text messages, you accept these terms.

What the service does

FirstRing answers the phone for local home-services businesses when the owner cannot. Our AI receptionist takes your details, books an appointment on the business's calendar, and passes the request to the owner. FirstRing is not the tradesperson: the work itself, its price, and its scheduling are the business's responsibility, not ours.

Appointments are requests until confirmed by the business

A time booked on a call is scheduled in good faith from the business's live calendar. The business may need to move or cancel it. Nothing said by the AI receptionist is a quote, a price, or a guarantee about the work to be done.

Messaging terms

If you agree during a call to receive text messages, the following applies:

• Messages are transactional only — appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellation notices. We do not send marketing texts.
• Expect roughly two to three messages per appointment. Message frequency varies with how many appointments you book.
• Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
• Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. Reply HELP or INFO for help.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase or of booking an appointment. You can book without agreeing to texts.

Emergencies

FirstRing is not an emergency service. If you smell gas, see smoke, or believe you are in danger, leave the building and call 911 or your gas company from outside. Do not rely on a booked appointment or a text message in an emergency.

Acceptable use

Do not use our phone or messaging services to harass anyone, to send unlawful content, or to book appointments you have no intention of keeping.

Availability

We work to keep the phone line answering at all times, but the service depends on telephone networks and third-party providers and may be interrupted. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, FirstRing is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, including missed appointments, delayed messages, or work carried out by a business you booked through us.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page shows when they last changed.
